PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Web Hosting
With our web hosting, you’ll be able to select the version of PHP that will be active for your shared account, as different versions are supported on our servers. With as little as one click, you will be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and anytime a new version is introduced in the future, we will include it in the Hepsia Control Panel without removing the earlier ones. Thus, you will be able to host all the websites that you’ve created through the years. In stark contrast to a lot of other web hosting vendors, we will not compel you to update such sites, as a script may be out of date, but this does not automatically mean that it is vulnerable since you may have modified its source code to plug safety holes. For the sake of your convenience, you’ll even be able to specify a different version of PHP for each individual site hosted in your web hosting account.
PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Even if your websites were created with an earlier PHP version, you will be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, since we support multiple versions running at the same time on our servers and each of them can be enabled for your account with no more than one click of the mouse via our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel. Other than the newest PHP 8, we also support 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and the older PHP 4, which has already been dropped by the majority of hosting providers, but we reckon that you should not be forced to modify a website that took years to develop, since older programming language syntax doesn’t inevitably equal safety weaknesses. Quite the opposite, a properly maintained site using PHP 4 can be more reliable than an unmaintained one using PHP 5. For your convenience’s sake, we will also give you the opportunity to choose a different version for each single site within the account.
